FAQs
Is Acupuncture covered by insurance?
The good news is that acupuncture coverage is widely available in California! However, not all conditions are covered and each insurance plan has its own set of benefits and limitations.
What brand of herbal formulations do you work with?
I work with KPC Herbs. They are certified as USDA Organic, Kosher, and Halal.
KPC Herbs adheres to strict international safety and quality regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) enforced by the FDA. You can learn more here.
What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a cornerstone of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a holistic system that emphasizes the body's natural healing abilities. TCM practitioners believe in the interconnectedness of humans, nature, and the universe, and how this balance impacts health.
Acupuncture involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow and promote healing. It's the most popular TCM modality, but TCM offers a wider range of treatments, including herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion, and Tai Chi.
The longevity of TCM is impressive. Its earliest documented texts date back to the 3rd century BC, showcasing its enduring effectiveness!
Do you do Cupping?
Absolutely! Cupping therapy can be a powerful tool for relieving muscle tension, improving circulation, and reducing pain. To see if it's a good fit for you, we'll need to do a proper Traditional Eastern Medicine evaluation first. If cupping complements your treatment plan, we can discuss adding it to your acupuncture session.
Do you do Reiki and Acupuncture in the same session?
I've found that combining Reiki and acupuncture in one session creates a deeply synergistic treatment. It's become a favorite among my patients because the results are often profound and truly rewarding to witness as a practitioner.
Please note: While this combined session offers exceptional benefits, it's currently not covered by insurance.
